holster, I can see why you may think it could be selfish reserving loads of usernames – but my intent is not to have people “sqatting” on twitter id’s – My hope is that, like in the example given above with Mac v PC – that when it is needed and relevant – one adds a second twitter account.

For newbies, I would suggest explaining HOW to secure multiple account names and redirecting to the main one. There are not many resources (easily findable) on stuff like this.
